Now I'm going to fill the bottom of the globe with "snow". I use
a cloud tube to make the snow.
Add a new raster layer, you'll want to put this layer UNDER the
glass (merged) layer. Make sure you still have the outside of
your glass selected. That way when you put in tubes it won't
run over.
Another option is grass, streamers, hearts or whatever else suits
your fancy!

The image on the right is filled with streamers, to get them all one
color just go to Colorize and slide the Hue around until you find the color
you want.
Now you need to choose what image you would like to put in your globe.
Add a New Raster Layer.. it should be above the snow layer and below the
glass layer.
Now it's time to make a decision. Do you want your globe to be
on a tranparent background or in a frame like a plaque?
For a transparent background do the following:
We will need to cover up the "back" of your snow globe I usually pick
a very light shade of the color of the glass.
Add a new Raster layer and send it to the bottom. Go to Selections,
Modify, Contract 1
The contraction is to make sure the fill doesn't run outside at all.
Pick your color and flood fill the area and it should look about like
this.
Now go to your Layer Palette, click on the eye glasses for the Merged
layer so it's invisible, then Right click and Merge visible.
So that your graphic and bottom fill and back are merged.. click on
the glasses again.
For those of you who want the plaque the next step is for you too!
Add a New Layer, put the layer above your two merged layers.
You're going to add your globe base to this layer. You'll now
need to deselect your circle.. or your base will end up in it lol

| GLOBE 1 | GLOBE 2 |
Now we're going to get rid of the excess space around the globe and
fill it and animate it.
First of all we need to get this globe down to two layers. Your
top layer will consist of the base, and the glass.
The bottom layer will consist of the inside of the globe.. graphic,
fill, and back (if you did one).
For Globe 1
You should have 2 Merged Layers, and your base layer. Click the
eye glasses in the Layer palette for the bottom layer.. you should now
see you base and glass... merge visible. Click the glasses again
to view all.
For Globe 2
You should have Layer 2, Merged, and Layer 3.
Click the eye glasses in Layer Palette on Layer 3 (the inside of the
globe). Merge Visible and click back off again to view all.
The rest is good for both globes now.
Now you should have 2 layers. Select the top layer to make it
active. Click on your magic wand
Click on the outside of the globe to select the entire globe.
Go to Selections, Invert. The "dancing ants" should be around the
globe now. Go to Image, Crop to Selection.

At this point you need to put any text that you would like on the globe
BEFORE the animation process or you'll get shaky text sydrome ::grin::
I'm going to use circle text in this tutorial but feel free to use just
regular put on there.
If you don't know how to do circle text there are tutorial for it already
up.
Curved
Text on Top of a Circle and Curved
Text on the Bottom of a Circle
When you are putting the text on your globe, add a new layer and move
it to the top. After you are finished with it, merge the text layer
with the outside of the globe (the glass and base layer).
